Kinetic preheating after alpha-attractor inflation in Numerical Relativity

ORAL

Abstract

Alpha attractor models are a class of inflationary models which have been shown to be consistent with the CMB. These models are also unique in that the potential of the inflaton and the kinetic coupling share a single free parameter which connects the potential to the dynamics of preheating. In an FLRW universe, we found that the kinetic coupling native to these models makes preheating very efficient and violent with large density contrasts. In this work we further this study to see if nonlinear gravity can address whether these large density contrasts might collapse into black holes during this phase transition.
