Energy Trimming Algorithm in Orbit Determination

Abstract
Accurate orbit determination is essential for satellite collision avoidance, enhancing mission safety and longevity in increasingly congested orbital environments. We present a numerical method, termed 'energy trimming,' which eliminates GPS anomalies by applying conservation principles. Our orbit determination software, built on an open-source space dynamics library and integrated with this algorithm, was successfully deployed by NearSpace Launch, Inc. for SpaceX's Transporter mission in August.
