Interacting Majorana fermions on the triangular lattice
ORAL
Abstract
Majorana-Hubbard (MH) models describe lattices of Majorana fermions subject to hybridization and short-range interactions. They describe vortex lattices emerging in topological superconductors in a magnetic field. Theoretical explorations of the MH models have unveiled exotic physics, including emergent supersymmetry. However, a complete understanding of the phase diagram on the triangular lattice is lacking. In this work, we utilize density-matrix renormalization group simulations to explore the phase diagram of the triangular-lattice MH model on ladder geometries. By studying correlation functions and the effect of different ladder widths, we go beyond prior work on this system and provide a more in-depth analysis of the nature of the gapless phase occurring under strong interactions.
