Models of the immune system across multiple scales
ORAL · Invited
Abstract
I will provide a general overview of the immune system, paying attention to its formation, maintenance, and function. The associated immunological processes inspire many theoretical, computational, and statistical models across diverse length and time scales. I will present some preliminary analyses related to receptor sequence design, T/B cell antigen-presenting-cell interactions and kinetic proofreading, and sampling and repertoire characterization. By building and connecting toy mathematical models of specific processes, a clearer picture of immune response can be pieced together.
