Hartree-Fock Study on Kagome Lattice: Toy Model and Beyond

We perform Hartree-Fock calculations for a two-flat band model on the kagome lattice, inspired by recent experimental results on Fe-doped CoSn (arXiv:2409.06933). Our findings indicate that the nematic order observed in the experiment is favored by significant interaction strength and partial filling of the flat band. Beyond the toy model, we also aim to establish connections with real materials in the kagome family.
