Magnetic excitations in chiral magnets CoTeMoO6 and MnTeMoO6

ORAL

Abstract

We investigate the magnetic excitations in chiral magnets CoTeMoO₆ (CTMO) and MnTeMoO₆ (MTMO), focusing on how their distinct anisotropic interactions reflect their underlying magnetic structures. CTMO features a canted magnetic structure with all moments in the ab plane, where a combination of anisotropic exchange and Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya (DM) interactions produces an asymmetric spin-wave dispersion and a notable spin-wave gap. In contrast, MTMO exhibits a collinear antiferromagnetic order in the ab plane, shaped by isotropic exchange and an easy-axis anisotropy term. This study highlights how microscopic magnetic structures influence the spin dynamics and excitation spectra in these chiral magnets. Finally, will discuss the observed magnetodielectric properties of these compounds based on their microscopic magnetic structures.
