A possible higher Chern number Kitaev quantum spin liquid induced by electric field

Abstract
It is now well understood that candidate materials for Kitaev quantum spin liquid necessarily have non-Kitaev spin interaction as well and that additional spin interactions can also arise from applying external fields. Recent years have seen intensive discussion on the possible phase transitions that these spin interactions induce. In this paper, we will show through the perturbation theory the possibility of the higher Chern number Kitaev spin liquid phase through, in contrast to the cases studied in literature, a continuous phase transition; such a transition may be induced by external electric field.
