Anisotropic 2D electron gas at KTaO3(110) interface
ORAL
Abstract
Quantum confinement and strong spin-orbit coupling in two-dimensional (2D) system often give rise to exotic emergent phenomenon. In the recently discovered superconducting 2D electron gas at interfaces KTaO3 (110) interface, we have found evidence for an in-plane Ising spin texture. For a polycrystalline ferromagnetic overlayer of EuOx on KTaO3, we observe a highly anisotropic and hysteric magnetoresistance. The hysteric behavior in magnetoresistance is consistent with the coercivity field of magnetization in EuOx overlayer, indicating an existence of strong magnetic proximity effect between two layers. The highly anisotropic magnetoresistance persists from normal state to superconducting transition.
