Transport Properties and Superconductivity in Novel High-Pressure Nickelates

ORAL

Abstract

The discovery of high-Tc superconductivity in single-crystal Ruddlesden-Popper Nickelates under high pressures of more than 10 GPa has sparked a new area of research in the field of unconventional superconductors. However, there remain many open questions, not only about the nature (filamentary vs bulk) and the origin of superconductivity in these systems, but also about the precise crystal and electronic structure, and the occurence of any competing or supporting electronic orders. In this talk, we will present our recent high-pressure electronic transport measurements and discuss our findings.
