Electrical resistivity and Hall effect in the normal state of synthetic mineral superconductor Rh<sub>17</sub>S<sub>15</sub>

Abstract
Miassite Rh17S15 is a rare unconventional mineral superconductor with Tc=5.4 K [1] and nodal superconducting gap structure [2]. Similar to other unconventional superconductors, for example, cuprates and heavy fermions, it shows anomalous normal state electronic transport with pronounced feature in the temperature dependent resistivity and a sign change of the Hall resistivity at around 100 K [3]. We study the response of these transport anomalies to the variation of the scattering rate. The controlled disorder level was introduced by low-temperature irradiation by relativistic 2.5 MeV electrons in liquid hydrogen environment. We find strong Matthiessen rule violation and suppression of the Hall effect anomaly with disorder.
