Abstract
We compare two codes that use hidden Markov models and nonlinear fitting to determine the distribution of various
oligomers in the polymerization process of macromolecules, specifically nucleoproteins, from mass spectroscopy data. The results
will be compared with stochastic models for polymerization. The goal is to obtain the kinetic rates of the polymerization process.
