Top-antitop Bound States

ORAL  · Invited

Abstract

The discovery of a pseudoscalar top-antitop bound state at the LHC opens a new opportunity to study short-lived QCD bound states involving the top quark. I will present our calculations of the masses and annihilation widths of the lowest S-wave and P-wave states and assess their observability at the HL-LHC as well as at future lepton colliders. I will also discuss the implications of these bound-state properties for top-quark physics and for searches for physics beyond the Standard Model.
