Probing Neutrino Blazars: Beaming and Beyond

Oral-In-person  · Withdrawn

Abstract

Building on our previous population studies of blazars as neutrino sources (reported at the APS 2025), we present a detailed analysis of individual blazars associated with high-energy neutrinos: TXS 0506+056, PKS 1424+240, and PKS 0446+112. These sources exhibit such extreme jet beaming and parsec-scale kinematics that they challenge traditional assumptions in jet analysis. Our investigation resolves apparent inconsistencies between their jet kinematics and high-energy neutrino/photon emission, reinforcing the critical role of strong beaming and small viewing angles in neutrino detection. Furthermore, we observe coherent changes in the parsec-scale structure of these sources coinciding with neutrino arrival times. This allows us to probe beyond geometric effects to the intrinsic properties driving neutrino production and particle acceleration in blazars.
