Hadron Production Measurements for Fermilab's Accelerator-based Neutrino Experiments at NA61/SHINE

ORAL

Abstract

Accelerator-based neutrino experiments at Fermilab, both ongoing and planned, suffer from uncertainties with respect to neutrino fluxes. A major source of these uncertainties comes from the limited understanding of primary and secondary hadron-nucleus interactions within the beamline. With the goal of measuring these interactions in thin and replica targets, a dedicated program was developed at the NA61/SHINE experiment at CERN. This contribution will present the results of ongoing analyses regarding the hadron production measurements conducted at NA61/SHINE using thin and replica targets for Fermilab experiments, including the NuMI experiments and DUNE.
