Early Analysis Progress on the SBS GEp Experiment

The SBS collaboration’s GEp experiment in Hall A of Jefferson Lab intends to measure the Sachs electric form factor of the proton up to 12 GeV² via the recoil polarization method. The experiment finished taking data in August of 2025, and early analysis efforts are underway to calibrate all subsystems in order to optimize elastic event reconstruction efficiency. Each subsystem has several components which require calibration, and for some of these there are multiple methods to consider. The methods used for these calibration procedures along with the status of progress will be presented.
