Recent theory progress on hadronic B decays

Abstract

I will discuss recent theory progress on understanding the role of electroweak penguin amplitudes in two-body hadronic $B$-meson decays to a pair of pseudoscalar mesons (pions, kaons, eta, and eta' mesons).
