Isotensor Three-Pion Scattering from Lattice QCD

Oral-In-person

Abstract

I will present a first-principles calculation within Quantum ChromoDynamics (QCD) of strongly coupled isotensor three-pion scattering amplitudes with resonating sub-channel ρ mesons. Computations within lattice QCD allow for a systematic determination of the spectrum of three pions in a finite-volume. Using generalizations of the Lüscher framework, we map the spectrum to infinite-volume scattering amplitudes. I will present an overview of this program, discuss developments in determining three-hadron scattering processes using lattice QCD, and showcase the new results for isotensor three pions. Prospects for future applications will be discussed.
