LISA Galactic Binary Catalog Advancements

ORAL

Abstract

The LISA global fit--a simultaneous fit of all sources in LISA's rich data--poses a challenging cataloging problem. This problem is most pronounced for the large number of continuous galactic binary signals which are expected to be numerous and often overlap in time-frequency. In this talk, we will discuss updates to the Petra sample clustering method which uses normalizing flows to cluster samples via a distributional fit. Finally, we discuss cataloging metrics to evaluate how well global fits and cataloging methods are doing at recovering and clustering signals.
