X-ray Astronomy in the 2030s: Updates on the Status of the XR-SIG Science Analysis Groups

ORAL

Abstract

As the high-energy astrophysics community is ramping up activities for the Astro2030 Decadal Survey, three Science Analysis Groups (SAGs) are providing input for proposing a flagship-class mission. The SAGs are focused on the following mission concepts: 1) Lynx2030: updating the work that led to the Lynx proposal for Astro 2020;2) Hi-ReX: a high angular resolution X-ray observatory;3) BBX: a broad-band X-ray observatory.I will summarize the work that the three SAGs have already performed, and what remains to be done before delivering the final reports to NASA in June 2026.
