Status Update on the HeRALD Experiment
ORAL
Abstract
The TESSERACT experiment is a collection of detectors searching for sub-GeV particle dark matter using sensitive transition-edge sensors. This includes experiments HeRALD, SPICE, and germanium detectors, each designed to target various low mass dark matter models. HeRALD is comprised of a superfluid helium-4 target coupled with the world's most sensitive athermal phonon detectors, which allow readout of the various signal channels from helium. I will present recent R&D progress on the HeRALD experiment as we look towards moving underground at Modane Underground Laboratory in 2028.
