SiPM Characterization at 77K for COHERENT CryoCsI Detector
ORAL
Abstract
The COHERENT collaboration reported the first ever detection of Coherent Elastic Neutrino Nucleus Scattering (CEvNS) back in 2017. Since then, the collaboration deployed a wide array of detectors at Neutrino Alley in Oak Ridge National Lab to further study CEvNS as well as other neutrino interactions. The Cryogenic Undoped CsI (CryoCsI) is the latest detector planned by COHERENT and it has the potential of setting new records in low-energy particle detection. CryoCsI uses undoped CsI crystal for scintillation and SiPMs for light detection. In this talk, we explore the characterization of SiPMs at 77K as a part of the development of CryoCsI detector.
