Searches for new physics in Higgs decays

Abstract
A range of theoretical frameworks motivate studies of Higgs boson decays that do not occur in the Standard Model. Many of these models also offer potential solutions to the dark matter problem. The signatures predicted by these models are experimentally challenging, and have driven advances in trigger strategies and reconstruction techniques. In this talk, I will highlight the sensitivity and scope of ATLAS and CMS searches for exotic decays of the Higgs boson. I will discuss invisible, semi-visible, and fully reconstructed final states.
