A Heuristic Dual to the Standard Model Yielding a Large Spectrum of Composite Neutral Flavored Self-Interacting Dark Matter
ORAL
Abstract
Old cosmic ray emulsion, fixed target hadron-hadron and e+e- data have evidence of excess very soft photon production. Low pT < 10 MeV soft photons are consistently produced in excess of predicted by the Low Theorem for electromagnetic bremsstrahlung. Anomalous excess soft photons have yields increasing much faster with increasing neutral particle multiplicity than charged particle multiplicity, a still unexplained result. Photon shower events (~10) were seen in nuclear plates at high altitude, characterized by a narrow cone of 10's photons without any incident charged particle, energy ~10^11 GeV, radial spread ~10^-4 rad, and c.m. energies, orders of magnitude less than pizeros as a source. We pose a model of magnetic, chromomagnetic, right-handed, pseudoscalar flavored partners of the SM which may explain anomalies. When monopole pairs are produced, the non-perturbative strong magnetic coupling produces 100's soft "magnetic" photons from inner bremstrahhlung as they separate, shedding energy faster than the decreasing binding energy, then reannihilating or combining with opposite sign different flavors to stable neutral bound states. Photons from magnetic poles couple weakly ~βe to ordinary matter. This model of stable neutral composite flavored "monopoliums" produces a very large spectrum of flavored self-interacting dark matter. Production and confinement mechanisms, couplings to SM, novel searches, limits from existing precision experiments, and effects in the cosmos and dark energy.
