Accurate and Efficient Simulations of Black Hole Binaries using Adaptive Mesh Refinement CPU/GPU Clusters
ORAL
Abstract
We study the effects of different refinement strategies on the overall accuracy and computational efficiency of precessing binary black hole mergers. Our study includes different strategies for spatial refinement and prolongation. We focus on the gravitational waveform phase accuracy and suppression of spurious noise in the waveform signal.
