Electroweak Precision Physics at the FCC-ee

ORAL

Abstract

The Future Circular Collider (FCC) is the next grand undertaking of the accelerator complex at CERN once the Large Hadron Collider runs its course. It offers the possibility of unprecedented precision physics leading to detailed studies of the properties of the Higgs boson and the electroweak sector of the SM. In this talk, I will cover the various ways in which the FCC-ee can be used to perform electroweak precision physics, given the various planned runs with the electron-positron collider at different center of mass energies that will enable in-depth studies of the W and Z bosons, the top quark and the Higgs. I will briefly talk about detector specific challenges and the software and computing needs of the experiment that are crucial for the success of the physics program.
