Semi-analytic Modeling of Black Hole Superradiant Amplification Spectra in Conformally Invariant Gravity
ORAL
Abstract
Superradiance occurs when incident bosonic waves are amplified upon scattering from a rotating black hole, extracting rotational energy from the horizon through wave–horizon interaction. In this study, we present a combination of semi-analytical and analytical calculations of the superradiant amplification spectra for scalar wave scattering in stationary backgrounds arising from a conformally invariant gravitational model. Our approach allows us to extract the amplification spectra across a broad range of frequencies and identify qualitative and quantitative features introduced by the conformal sector. The results clarify how conformal invariance alters energy extraction relative to standard general relativistic expectations and provide a practical toolbox for extending scattering calculations to related modified-gravity settings across broad parameter regimes.
