Search for Wbj using Υ(5S) → γ Wbj Decay
ORAL
Abstract
The search for molecular states denoted as Wbj is motivated by the recent discovery of the Zb(10610) and Zb(10650) at Belle. These exotic hadrons are observed in transitions from the Υ(5S) and Υ(6S) to bottomonium states via single-pion emission, and their existence suggests the possibility of a new family of hadronic resonances. We describe a search for Wbj in the radiative decay Υ(5S) → γ Wbj using 121.4 fb-1 of data collected at the Υ(5S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy electron-positron collider. Using Monte Carlo simulation and blinded data, we study Belle's sensitivity to the decay Υ(5S) → γ Wbj and search for its presence in Belle data.
