Study of the source HAWC J0615+2213 in the IC 443 region

ORAL

Abstract

After studying the supernova remnant IC 443 with HAWC data, we found an extended component in the region, with no clear low-energy counterparts. A molecular cloud interpretation was tested but found insufficient to explain the full extent of the emission. An alternative explanation is that the signal originates from a TeV halo associated with PSR B0611+22, which is surrounded by the extended emission and exhibits properties consistent with a TeV Halo. We report on the analysis and results of the halo hypothesis.
