Grassroots Pathways to Science Policy Engagement

ORAL  · Invited

Abstract

Policies that shape scientific research—funding priorities, workforce structures, and institutional culture—are often influenced by the communities that practice science. This talk explores how physicists can engage in grassroots advocacy to translate community experiences into policy conversations. Through examples from physics organizations and national research environments, this talk will discuss how coalition building, collective action, and community leadership can influence science policy and expand the role of physicists in shaping the future of the field.
