New Insights into Conformal Gravity from the RAR and Milky Way

ORAL

Abstract

Recent studies of the Radial Acceleration Rule (RAR) have shown to be consistant with the universal centripetal accelerations predicted in Conformal Gravity, specifically in low mass spiral dwarf galaxies. In this talk we will review the recent extension of the initial RAR to the dwarf galaxies and explain how Conformal Gravity predicts the observed acceleration floor seen in the RAR. Further, we will show how recent observations of the Milky Way galaxy are consistant with a slight velocity decrease predicted by Conformal Gravity.
