Writing Good Peer Reviews for PhysRev PER: Scientific Conversation with Colleagues
ORAL
Abstract
Peer Review is part of how we share great work, uphold the integrity of science, give back to the research community, and engage in scientific conversation with colleagues! This workshop will support you to offer effective reviews to Physical Review Physics Education Research that have high intellectual standards without inflicting pain. You will sharpen your critical thinking and writing skills in a reviewing context, learn how much you should be reviewing and why, and update your reviewer presence in the Physical Review system–as well as learn how to mentor others to become great reviewers. Open to the whole community of physics education researchers and reviewers: graduate students, postdocs, new and experienced faculty, and everyone else with an appetite for scientific discourse.
