ORAL · Invited
Abstract
The Professional development for Emerging Education Researchers (PEER) Institute is designed for emerging education researchers interested in expanding their theoretical or methodological expertise. PEER enhances the professional growth of participants and changes career trajectories. In this nteractive workshop, we'll introduce you to fundamental skills in education research. You'll practice these skills with each other to develop your research ideas and conceptualize a research project. Topics include generative writing, research design, matching your research questions to accessible data, and finding collaborators and participants. This workshop is appropriate for physicists who are just getting started in education research; new education researchers who want to refine their project designs; and experienced educators who are ready to take their programmatic or curriculum development work to the next level. A hallmark of PEER workshops is their responsiveness to participant interests, and activities center around advancing each individual's specific research project. No matter where you are in your education research journey, we'll take you to the next step.
