Public trust in science is essential for advancing research, informing policy, and strengthening the role of science in society. This panel, organized by APS Science Trust Project (STP) Ambassadors, brings together scientists, STP ambassadors, journalists, and science communicators to explore real-world experiences in building trusting and trustworthy relationships with diverse publics. Panelists will share practical strategies, challenges, and lessons learned from engaging communities beyond academia. The discussion will focus on actionable approaches that physicists can use to foster meaningful dialogue and strengthen connections between science and society. We aim to create a forward-looking and interactive conversation that leaves attendees energized and equipped with actionable tools to strengthen connections between science and society.
