How to eat magic states
ORAL · Invited
Abstract
In this talk, I'll discuss the logistics of producing and consuming magic states. I won't focus much on how an individual state is produced, but rather on the higher level problems that occur when orchestrating large collections of magic states.
In particular, I'll discuss:
- Tradeoffs between various Clifford correction strategies.
- How we've been computing the reaction depth of circuits incorrectly (!).
- Matching production rate, consumption rate, and correction rate.
- How much do magic states need to "cool" before being used?
- etc
