Bosonization and Kramers-Wannier dualities in general dimensions

ORAL

Abstract

We discuss a general bosonization method based on gauging the fermion parity of a fermionic system. A key ingredient in this approach is the construction of a disentangling unitary. We further generalize Kramers–Wannier (self-)dualities to higher dimensions. These (self-)dualities are inherited from, yet distinct from, their one-dimensional counterpart obtained via the Jordan–Wigner transformation of a folded Majorana chain.
