Elastoresistivity and PEEM study of rotational symmetry breaking orders in the kagome metal CsCr3Sb5

ORAL

Abstract

The recently discovered kagome metal CsCr3Sb5, which is a Cr-based analogue of the extensively studied AV3Sb5, uniquely hosts coexisting charge density wave (CDW) and antiferromagnetic (AFM) orders. While these intertwined symmetry breakings have aroused interest, only a single transition at T* ≈ 55 K has been identified at ambient pressure, with its origin unresolved [1-4]. By employing elastoresistivity measurements and linear dichroic photoelectron emission microscopy (PEEM) measurements, we investigated rotational symmetry breaking natures in CsCr3Sb5. Our elastoresistivity measurements reveal an onset temperature of 64 K > T* for the rotational symmetry breaking. We also present that three-state domains are visualized below T* in PEEM measurements, showing a striking dichotomy of the previously reported charge and magnetic orders in CsCr3Sb5.
