Real space-resolved anomalous hall effect in altermagnet thin films

Oral-In-person

Abstract

Altermagnet, a collinear compensated magnetic phase, was commonly characterized by spin splitting and anomalous Hall effect (AHE). Here, we theoretically studied altermagnetic thin films and resolved AHE contributions layer by layer. We identify notable variations between surface/interface regions and interior layers due to the interfacial environment. Our results imply that measurement of altermagnet properties might be sensitive to interface conditions such as substrate and its interpretation may include extrinsic causes.
