Ballistic spin transport mediated by excitons in van der Waals heterostructure
ORAL
Abstract
We studied kinetics of spin transport mediated by spatially indirect excitons, also known as interlayer excitons, in van der Waals heterostructure composed of atomically thin layers of transition-metal dichalcogenides. We found long-range ballistic spin transport. We measured the density and temperature range for the long-range ballistic spin transport.
*The measurements were supported by DOE award DE-FG02-07ER46449, the heterostructure manufacturing and simulations were supported by NSF Grants 1905478 and 2516006.
