In situ, dual mode tomography to study Li battery evolution
ORAL
Abstract
The NIST Center for Neutron Research is anticipated to return to science operation in the Spring of 2026. The thermal neutron imaging facility, BT2, will be one of the first instruments open to users. Several upgrades to the simultaneous, neutron/X-ray tomography system (NeXT) have been realized during the NCNR outage, including improved time and spatial resolution and nearly instantaneous data reduction. The capabilities of NeXT at BT2 will be presented highlighting the ability to identify plated lithium and required acquisition times.
