An Analysis of the Gap Between Classical Pedagogical Tools and the Quantum Information Concepts they Teach

Oral-In-person

Abstract

As the field of Quantum Information gains both prominence and practitioners, the need for more effective pedagogical tools has become apparent. In this work, we examine the challenge of illustrating inherently quantum concepts--such as entanglement--through classical methods. We focus primarily on the example of a game that was designed to teach quantum teleportation to a K-12 audience, and we highlight the lessons learned from its analysis.
