Measuring the performance of real-time QEC experiments executed on a hardware-accelerated QEC system - Deltaflow
ORAL
Abstract
Any system providing quantum error correction capabilities (QEC system) needs to maintain a high throughput to execute real time QEC experiments, ensuring it keeps up with the rate of measurements produced from a quantum computer. Another key consideration in to reaching useful fault tolerant quantum computation is minimizing the response time from qubit readout to decoding result, as this is a key contribution to the logical clock rate of a given quantum computer. In this talk we present a methodology for measuring the throughput and response time of a real time hardware accelerated QEC system and the considerations taken into account. We share the metrics recorded on a real-time QEC system Deltaflow using the outlined methodology and show how these results demonstrate that this system is highly performant in a range of QEC experiments.
