Microscopy of multi-scale quantum materials

POSTER

Abstract

Levy crystals incorporate a long-range hopping term that modifies traditional Hamiltonian models, enabling precise control and tunability of disorder scales. We have systematically fabricated such structures from a Type-II superconductor, introducing multiscale disorder that follows a Levy distribution. Vortex dynamics were characterized using magnetic force microscopy at the critical current. These measurements offer insight into the relationship between multiscale disorder and its influence on the critical exponents governing superconducting properties.
