A New Quantum Diamond Microscope for Magnetic Studies
POSTER
Abstract
Magnetically-sensitive quantum defects in solid state crystals such as the diamond nitrogen-vacancy center allow for high-fidelity wide-field imaging of magnetic fields. Here we present a new design for a quantum diamond microscope with sensitivity- and bandwidth-enhancing features. A high-power LED is employed to prevent interference fringes. We attempt pulsing the LED and demonstrate Ramsey-style magnetic imaging. Additionally, we characterize the sensing performance and present plans for future magnetic studies.
