Superradiance Suppression in a Black Hole in Conformally Invariant Gravity

POSTER

Abstract

We investigate the superradiant amplification of scalar waves in a rotating black hole described by a conformally invariant gravity model. The superradiant amplification spectra for scalar waves are observed to be significantly suppressed by the conformal nature, resulting in a reduced energy extraction efficiency when compared to standard general relativistic predictions. This suppression is accompanied by a shift in the resonant frequencies and a narrowing of the superadiant frequency range. Our results suggest that conformal modifications to general relativity can alter wave dynamics around compact objects, reducing the strength and stability of superradiant processes as an energy extraction mechanism.
