Generic Long-Lived Particle Search at SBND

POSTER

Abstract

In this analysis we present a new approach to searching for Beyond the Standard Model (BSM) particles at the Short-Baseline Near Detector (SBND). We outline a model generic search for massive long-lived particles (LLPs), which allows for a broader search for BSM signals compared to existing model-specific analyses. These LLPs would be produced at the Booster Neutrino Beamline (BNB) from on-beam charged kaon decays. They would then decay back to standard model particles, in this case an e+ e- pair, within SBND. An analysis chain is developed along with setting sensitivity limits at SBND for these LLPs. In this talk we will give an overview of the current status of the analysis and our expected sensitivity reaches for LLPs at SBND.
