Quantum algorithms for scattering and structure
Invited-In-person · Invited
Abstract
In recent years, quantum computing has attracted considerable interest in nuclear theory. Given the limitations of current quantum devices, research has focused on solving simple models, developing computational methods and algorithms, tackling classically "hard" problems like nuclear scattering and dynamics, and gaining deeper insights into entanglement. This talk reviews how quantum computers have been used for nuclear structure calculations and nucleon scattering; it presents results from such computations and provides an outlook.
