Abstract

ScV6Sn6 is a bi-layered kagome system in which the out-of-plane lattice parameter is suggested to play a major role in the stabilization of the charge density wave (CDW) order. To investigate this scenario, we applied uniaxial pressure along the c axis in this material. Our electrical resistivity measurements under c-axis uniaxial stress reveal a faster suppression of the CDW order as compared to hydrostatic pressure. In addition, the temperature dependence of the resistivity changes character at higher pressures, which may indicate a modification of the CDW order. Our results confirm the strong influence of the c axis lattice parameter on the CDW order in SV6Sn6
