Strong correlations in twisted bilayer graphene: sign free Monte Carlo and controlled expansion
ORAL · Invited
Abstract
I will discuss recent progress in the theoretical understanding of how strong correlations shape the normal state properties and the electronic spectrum of magic-angle twisted bilayer graphene. In particular, I will describe the phase diagram at phase diagram at charge neutrality as a function of twist angle and strain, and recent analytical progress using a novel phase space expansion exploiting the unique features of the electronic bands to carry out controlled calculations in the intermediate temperature flavor-incoherent regime.
