Readout method for Kitaev chain qubit devices
ORAL
Abstract
Qubits encoded in the parity of pairs of Majorana zero modes are believed to offer a promising platform towards fault-tolerant quantum computing. Recently, the single-shot readout of a pair of Majorana zero modes has been demonstrated in a minimal Kitaev chain [1]. Here, we integrate the same readout technique into a qubit architecture consisting of two Kitaev chains. Utilizing time-domain measurements, we demonstrate the ability to distinguish the different qubit states and to detect leakage out of the computational subspace.
