Charge noise effects in Majorana-based qubits

ORAL

Abstract

We discuss how charge noise is affecting the lifetime of Majorana-based qubits. While the effect of noise on topological qubit is generally exponentially suppressed, it is still playing an important role in modeling the lifetime of near-term devices. We provide an overview of different lifetime and dephasing mechanisms in topological qubits and specifically discuss the recently measured lifetimes in Majorana Tetron devices [1].
